The Carlyle Expedition

Investigated the Third Dynasty of Egypt and (rumor says) the Black Pharaoh. They went to Giza, then Saqqara, then Dahshur.

The expedition moved on to Kenya in the summer of 1919. It was declared lost and all members declared deceased. Kikuyu villagers reported the massacre of a number of whites near Aberdare Forest.
